About Us
The Flightless Bird Society was founded by Professor Trudge in 1662. As the last surviving Dodo, he sought out fellowship with other bird-brains who shared his love of the arts (contrary to common understanding of Dodos, Trudge is quite the learned bird) and his ties to the ground. Over the years, a secret society formed with each new flightless fowl bringing fresh excitement to the club. Some birds host fanciful dinner parties while others plan elaborate schemes of—shall we say—dubious legality.
Some of us will track down ancient treasure maps, sneak into underground clubs, or travel the world (by boat, train, horse, or foot). No matter the activity, everything we do is in the grand pursuit of artistic inspiration. We birds provide the inspiration, risk, daring adventures, and silliness that great art requires and our resident human, Amelia Meyer, turns this into (occasionally great) art.
For years we moved in secret, but this year, Amelia has convinced the bird leadership to share some of our secrets, shenanigans, and art with the world.

We in the FBS may not have the power of flight, but the art will always be perfectly wonderful… unless our human is hungry or needs a nap. Then the art is pretty mediocre.
Fishsticks, along with the whole Bird Board, does all he can to ensure Amelia is creating her best work.
